for decades, i slaved for wts, mentally, emotionally, financially, familially, socially, educationally.. at times, when i was the only one caring for the maintenance needs of the local kh, and being discouraged at the "sacrifices" being contributed to the borg, my spouse would say: "jehovah sees what you are doing.".
and yet, later, my spouse turned on me, turning instead to "jehovah's elders" and totally threw me under the bus.. paul, allegedly, said in hebrews: "for god is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name.".
i feel nothing of the sort.. does anyone feel similarly?.

reading the day's text for yesterday, they talk about jesus coming and that it is a future time after the great tribulation.
i thought they have always said he came in 1914 and earlier at other times (russell).. .
He did come, but not to America to inspect his corporation.

Eusebius was frustrated that Papias interpreted things literally, and accused him of “misunderstanding the apostolic accounts, not perceiving that the things said by them were spoken mystically in figurative language.”
So in other words it’s like me coming home from work and saying, “I'm so hungry I could eat a cow”
Of course I can’t eat a cow, but Papias would have taken it literally.
I wonder what else was taken literally or misunderstood by some of those writers of the Gospels?

so i am getting ready for bed yesterday night and i overhear my teenage son and wife talking about how the evidence of creation far outweighs the evidence of evolution.
i heard my son say that evolution has so many holes and how could something happen from nothing.
i wanted to open the door and ask them both how the creator happened from nothing just to see what they would say..
John, the WTS calls it "micro-evolution" to distinguish it from "macro-evolution". But of course they will not (and cannot!) explain where the boundary would be then between these two.

An attractive single sister is often treated like dirt by the married sisters in the hall. Trust me, I know.
That may be true in regard to being treated like dirt by married sisters, but would it really matter to a beautiful women what married sisters would think?
